hello and welcome my name is Adam Lancto and I'm the proud principal of Grandville High School, home of the Bulldogs that serves over 1,800 students in grades 9 through 12 with tremendous community support and a top-notch staff Grandville High School is consistently ranked as one of the best high schools in Michigan each day we focus on the idea of grit which stands for Growth Respect Integrity and Togetherness in every aspect of our lives from school, extracurricular activities and throughout the community to live out our mission of improving lives by producing successful lifelong learners Grandville High School is dedicated to helping students build a sense of pride and excellence by offering rigorous and practical academic programs for students with 18 AP courses offered for a chance to earn college credit robust skilled trade classes such as woodshop engine tech and home maintenance repair and several other specialized courses like EMT where students can earn their license as an emergency medical technician to our award winning AV program or to the many business classes where students can earn practical financial skills scholarships for their entrepreneurial ability Grandville High School has something to offer each student to build a foundation for a successful career after graduation. Students have a 6 period class schedule here at Grandville High School however Wednesdays they attend an extra class called seminar which is it is a 60 minute period designed to help students gain additional academic support within the school day we believe that is important for students to be involved and connected to positive activities to promote better mental health here at Grandville High School GHS is home to over 35 Varsity Sports that students can compete in and are connected to a first-class weight training program and facilities we have a tradition of excellence in our award-winning music programs from orchestra choir and band, students can shine on the stage as one of our three theater productions which include each year spring musical, additionally you can join our outstanding robotics team the RoboDawgs which compete and have earned many accolades at the State national and international levels in a variety of different categories with all that we offer our goals remain consistent ensure that every student who enters our doors feels valued, respected, a sense of belonging and has what is needed to achieve academic social and emotional success lastly we work to close academic gaps that exist for students and ensure each student reaches their full potential I look forward to working with you to continue the tradition of pride and excellence here at Grandville High School.
