Mrs. Ungrey graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a Bachelors Degree in Biology, with a minor in Physical Science and a Secondary Teaching Certificate.  At U of M, she was in the Honors Program for four years, did research on Kangaroos in New South Wales, Australia and on Cave Crickets in the Mammoth Cave System of Kentucky.  She then completed the Masters program at GVSU in Educational Leadership.  Mrs. Ungrey has attended several American Academy of Forensic Science Educational Conferences and served on the planning committee when AAFS held their annual conference in East Lansing.  She has attended and served as an assistant for the AP Biology Summer Institute, held at GHS in June.  Mrs. Ungrey has in the past and is again serving on the School Improvement Team.  She is a self-proclaimed science nerd, who genuinely loves teaching, travelling and being with her family.
